BEYOND THE CROWN

Not loud, but opulent with a purpose. It moves in clean lines, catching light in fragments, holding it just long enough to be noticed. A shoulder turns, a pause lands, and suddenly the frame feels intentional. There is control here, but also a sense of play. Precision, with a flicker of unpredictability. This is not the theatrical energy of pageantry as we expect it. It is something distilled. The discipline remains, but the volume has been lowered. What replaces it is sharper. More self-aware. A study in editing rather than addition.

Not loud, but opulent with a purpose. It moves in clean lines, catching light in fragments, holding
it just long enough to be noticed. A shoulder turns, a pause lands, and suddenly the frame feels

unpredictability. This is not the theatrical energy of pageantry as we expect it. It is something

On set in Diana Putri’s latest couture, the mood leans architectural. Liquid metallics skim the
silhouette, mirrored textures reflect a cooler kind of glamour, and tailoring holds its structure
with quiet confidence. The styling invites stillness, but not stiffness. Movement comes in small
disruptions. A glance that shifts the balance. A gesture that breaks symmetry. It feels composed,
but never static.

Only later does the full picture come into focus.

Belva Angeline Githa enters not as a newcomer, but as someone already fluent in visibility.
Fresh from Miss Teen Universe International 2025 in Jaipur, where she was crowned Miss Teen
Universe Asia, she carries the clarity of pageantry into a more restrained fashion language. The
training is evident in her timing, in the way she understands when to hold a moment and when to
release it.

Yet there is more beneath the surface than image.

Away from the camera, her work with Cancer Information and Support Center and RSBP Batam
brings a different kind of focus. Early detection, emotional support, access to information. The
approach is measured and consistent, echoing the same control seen in her visual presence. It is
advocacy without excess, grounded and intentional.

That duality threads through everything.

The Ratu Kencana Wungu costume that earned her Best National Costume offered an early
glimpse. Inspired by the final queen of the Majapahit Empire, it carried history with weight and
detail. Still, it was the way she wore it that resonated. Composed. Edited. Never overwhelmed by
the narrative, but aligned with it.

Born in Batam, her perspective sits slightly outside the expected fashion trajectory. There is
distance, and with it, clarity. She moves without urgency, balancing school at Sekolah Mondial
Batam with an expanding international presence. Each step feels placed rather than rushed. For
Variety UAE, what emerges is not just a fashion moment, but a point of view. Silver, structure,
restraint. Then a shift. A presence that understands both the power of visibility and the
responsibility that comes with it..
